Course Unit Description

In this course, students will examine theories and applications associated with organization development and change with specific focus on improving organizational effectiveness Organizational Development (OD) is a conscious, planned process of developing an organization’s capabilities so that it can attain and sustain an optimum level of performance as measured by efficiency, effectiveness, and health. Through the process of OD, we attempt to bring about successful change efforts in individual employees, groups and teams, inter-groups, and organizations as well.

Course Objectives
This course is intended to enable students to:

  • Get understanding of ways of seeing and reading organizations. 
  • Help know the different approaches to organizational analysis and diagnosis
  • Help students understand the different ways of intervening in organizations to facilitate change and development
