Course Unit Description
The course will cover the areas of social influence and attribution with the following themes: Impression formation and management, conformity, compliance and obedience, then the attributional processes. Attitudes and Persuasion; covering attitude formation, attitude change, prejudice, stereotypes, discrimination and persuasion. Finally, we will look at aggression, interpersonal attraction and prosocial behavior. “How good are we at helping others”.
Course Objectives
- The course aims to help students better understand the foundations of the scientific methods to problem of human behaviour and experiences, biological and developmental processes, perception and awareness, learning and thinking, motivation and emotion, personality and individuality conflict, adjustment, mental health and social behaviour.
Learning outcomes
- By the end of this course graduates will be able to understand individual behaviour at the workplace, institutions and individual setting based on the various theories of human behaviour.
