Course Unit Description
This Course introduces general concepts of electricity and magnetism. It covers the following major topics-electrostatics, DC and AC circuits and electromagnetic effects.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course students should be able to:
- Solve problems in electrostatic tones
- Analyse AC and DC circuits
- Apply the acquired knowledge to effectively teach Sciences.
- Apply the laws of electromagnetic induction to problem solving
- Describe and apply the effects of static magnetic fields on moving charges.
- Carry out experiments involving electric currents and magnetic coils;
- Describe electric motors, simple generators and transformers
- Effectively teach pupils Science subjects
