Course Unit Description

This course is designed for a teacher trainee to help impart education to pupils with different learning styles/abilities, and improve the quality of teaching and the way learning takes place for deeper understating of subject matter.

Course objectives
The course is intended to:

  • help teacher trainees to select appropriate methods, strategies and approaches for teaching pupils
  • enable teachers put into operation effective teaching strategies
  • analyze the advantages and disadvantages of using different approaches, methods, and styles of teaching pupils 
  • apply innovative methodologies in teaching
  • incorporate technology into the teaching methods to create a rich learning experience for pupils.

Expected outcomes
By the end of the course students should be able to:

  • promote innovations in teaching by incorporating technology in teaching 
  • appropriately programme teaching to enhance the acquisition of knowledge and skills needed by pupils for the future living
  • competently demonstrate the ability to use different methods, approaches and strategies for teaching pupils 
  • organize the teaching which ensures that no child is left behind
