BBA2201 Foundations of Human Resources Management

This is an introductory course that covers the basic HR theories, key functions, and strategies. While people have always been central to organizations, they are now increasingly becoming a critical tool in building the organizations’ competitive advantage. Managing people is every manager’s business, and successful organizations exhibit the expertise in HR practice to develop and use talents of employees to their greatest potential. 

Objectives of the course

• Acquisition of foundation knowledge, concerning the concepts and  theories in the field of human resource management 
• Acquisition of insights into the contemporary human resource practices that  modern organizations
• Ability to critically reflect on theories, approaches and practices in human resource management
