Course Unit Description

Value Chain Management provides a competitive advantage to the success of an organization. In the modern business environment, companies are now seeking to increase revenues and remove costs from the value chain. Improvement in value chain activities are being recognized as key contributors. Understanding costs, both direct and indirect, and pinpointing inefficiencies in the value chain enables companies to operate with their business partners in the most profitable and efficient manner. This course introduces students to the nature and contribution of value chain management to organizational performance.
