BPM3101 Strategic Procurement Management

This course introduces students to aspects of managing a firm’s supply chain at a strategic level. Students will be exposed to the tools of strategic decision making and how there are applied in real business situation.

Course Objectives  
This course is intended to help students

• Appreciate the strategic focus of procurement as compared to the former clerical focus
• Identify the different strategies that can be deployed to manage different issues in procurement

By the end of this course Students should be able to

• Analyze complex procurement problems and effective use the skill attained to design effective and sustainable solutions in managing supply chains.
