Course Unit Description
The course deals with enabling students to develop a mentality of thinking innovatively and create jobs other than seeking jobs. Its content will therefore include; theories of Entrepreneurial Culture, Entrepreneurial Support Systems, disadvantaged people and entrepreneurship; the State and Entrepreneurship etc.
Course Objectives
- To introduce students to the best practices, successes and failures, opportunities and constraints in the field of entrepreneurship.
- To provide new perspectives on the opportunities for small businesses.
- To identify an idea and develop a viable concepts
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the student should be able to
- Explain the concept of entrepreneurship and its importance, and should have the basic knowledge required to start and grow a business.
- Students should be able to demonstrate skills in starting and owning businesses
