This course covers the important aspects of the micro-livestock industry in Uganda, enabling the students to engage in this industry.

Course Objectives

  • To equip students with skills and knowledge in Apiculture and sericulture
  • To equip students with skills and knowledge in other micro-livestock especially rabbits.
  • Equip students with knowledge on value addition and marketing of microlivestock

At the end of this course the student should be able to:

  • Know the needs, behavior health and management silk worms, bees and rabbits
  • Appreciate special needs nutrition and health with regard to bees, silkworms and rabbits.
