AGB1206 Information and Communication Technology

This course will help students to use information communication and technology (ICT) infrastructure in solving agribusiness value chain problems. It covers introduction to ICT concepts, introduction to software support and maintenance, statistics, automated development database management systems in agribusiness.

Course Objectives

• Explain aspects of data processing in agribusiness
• Instruct students to use digital computers to process and analyze agribusiness data

By the end of the course unit, the leaner should be able to:

• Effectively use ICT in solving value chain problems associated with Agribusiness actions, logistics and quality assurance.
• Optimize process management in any value chain.
• Use ICT tools for analysis of data.
