AGB 1106 Mathematics

This course introduces learners to Arithmetic and Algebra; Graphs and Functions; Linear and Quadratic Equations; Powers, Roots and Laws of Indices; Financial Mathematics; Introduction to Calculus, Partial Differentiation and Integration; Further topics in Calculus and Matrix Algebra.

The main objectives of the course are to enable students

• Get basic understanding of mathematics for agribusiness.
• Conduct basic economic calculations.
• Use algebraic techniques essential for elementary mathematics.
• Apply numerous mathematical techniques to solve economic problems and make decisions.
