The course covers areas of Concepts of stability, Ship Stability, Inclining Experiments, Stability Curves, Dry Docking, Maneuverability, and IMO Standards & Safety Regulations (Vessel Stability)
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, a student can:
- Apply the principles of stability
- Draft/Draw stability Curves
- Assess the stability of a ship from the design stage, testing level, loading/offloading stage, and during motion
- Collect data relate to ship stability and make use of it during the analysis
- Guide/assist the personnel in charge with dry docking (maintenance of the vessels) issues related to stability.
- Demonstrate the use of tables and diagrams of ship stability and trim data
