MED3102: Hematological disorders

This course covers the epidemiology and pathology of disorders of the haemopoietic system. It also handles a number of laboratory techniques used in investigating heamatological disorders and the principles of pharmacotherapy. 
 
Course objectives 
By the end of the course students should be able to;  

• describe the epidemiology and pathology of blood, haemopioetic system and body fluids 
• describe the haematological malignancies  
• demonstrate competency and skills in relevant laboratory techniques used in this course
