Course Unit Description
The course focuses on climate change as a new and emerging issue which is impacting the economy and the policy. The course covers the causes, impacts and techniques for observing climate change, and management strategies.
Course objectives
By the end of this course, the student will be able to;
- explain how the changing climate influences global economic activity
- explain how the current trends in climate change influence global and local policies
- understand and describe the key national and international policies, and explain how the law is used in the fight against climate change
- explain the potential and impacts of emissions trading.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- explain the causes of climate change
- identify the impacts of climate change
- suggest appropriate climate change mitigation and adaptation measures
