SPE1202 Physiology of Exercise

The course introduces students to the knowledge of Physiology and their application in Physical Education and Sports.

Course objectives
By the end of the unit, students will be able to;

• To identify physiological process of the body and relate them to performance in physical activities.
• To state basic principles of nutrition and their application to movement in sports and physical Education.
• To describe the structure and functions of the skeletal system and their application to exercise and sports.

Expected Learning outcomes
By the end of the unit, students are expected to;

• To demonstrate knowledge of physiological and anatomical processes of the body and their application to exercise and sport.
