EDM7102 Education Project Planning,Monitoring& Evaluation

This course will introduce education leaders and managers to the fundamentals of planning and carrying out monitoring and
evaluation of education projects and programs. The course will bring together planning and management principles and skills related
to study design and data collection and analysis. Emphasis will be put on monitoring and evaluation of education projects/programs.
This course will integrate active and participatory learning approaches involving activities and assignments; participants will be asked
to do the required readings

Course Objectives
This course aims at

•  Developing ability to project control and manage, using standard tools of cost and schedule variance analysis
•  Developing competencies in project costing, budgeting, and financial budgeting
•  Developing competency in project scooping, work definition, and work breakdown structure 
•  Developing ability and skill in project time estimation and project scheduling
•  Developing ability to computers in project management, especially a tool like MS Project.
•  Developing an understanding of the concepts of project definition, life cycle, and systems approach
•  Understanding risk control mechanisms in projects management

•  Construct an evaluation report
