DRI1102 Library and Information Science

This course introduces learners to types of libraries, laws of library science, collection development and bibliography. 

Course objectives
The aim of this course is to:

• Equip learners with basic skills on how to develop and manage Library and information Centre.
• Expose learners to use modern ICT tools in information processing and development.
• Equip learners with skills and knowledge in collection development

By the end of the course the learner is able to:

• Manage library and information centers
• Use modern ICT tools in processing information
• Identify library collection development
