Course Unit Description
This course Introduces students to managerial roles and functions; covers planning, organizing, controlling, leading, staffing, and problem-solving in contemporary organizations; reviews foundations of management thought and managerial processes that lead to organizational effectiveness.
Course Objectives
The objectives of the Course are:
- To introduce students to the principles and practice of management.
- To expose the class to the functions of management
- Students to appreciate the role of management in organizations and the processes involved.
- Help students to relate the theory of management to the practice.
