DHB1202 Bonding and Structure

The course deals with how atoms combine to form molecules, the different types of bonding are described including the structure of simple molecules.

By the end of this course students should be able to:

• Define chemical bonding
• Identify the types of chemical bonds
• Describe how chemical bonds are formed
• Relate Chemical bonding o the structure and properties of elements and compounds.
• Use bonding theory(is) to predict the shapes of some molecules.
