Course Unit Description

The course is divided into several components namely; the physical structure, position, and size of western Europe, the physical environment, resource utilization and the different social, political, and economic activities of the region, population and urbanization.

Course objectives
By the end of the course students should be able to;

  • Explain the Location and size of Western Europe
  • Describe and account for the physical structure of Western Europe 
  • Describe the landforms, climates, water bodies, natural vegetation and soils of the region
  • Analyze the relationship between natural resource distributions and the different social and economic activities of Western Europe.
