STA3101 Econometrics II

This course unit covers concepts used in econometrics, reasons why statisticians study econometrics, Simple economic models, the classical assumptions, how to analyze and estimate econometric models.  

General Course Objectives
By the end of the topic, learners will be able to:

• Apply the basic skills of economic models to real life situations
• Analyze sampled data using the models

Expected Learning Outcomes
This course unit is intended to achieve and equip learners: 

•  with basic skills to form economic models
•  with basic skills to analyze economic models using sample data; and
• enhance learners’ skills in hypothesizing information related to economic models.
