Course Unit Description
This course covers the basic measures of; Mortality and morbidity; Sources of data Comparative mortality and morbidity; Confounding factors; Epidemiological/Observational studies, Diagnostic tests; and Survival analysis and competing risks.
General Course Objectives
By the end of the course the learners will be able to:
- Identify Mortality and Morbidity and sources of information
- Apply the different Epidemiological/Observational studies, Diagnostic tests appropriately.
- Appreciate Survival analysis and associated risks.
Expected Learning Outcomes
The objective of this course is to;
- Introduce the learners to the specialized statistical methods for the analysis of epidemiological and survival data
