Course Unit Description

This course covers the basic measures of; Mortality and morbidity; Sources of data Comparative mortality and morbidity; Confounding factors; Epidemiological/Observational studies, Diagnostic tests; and Survival analysis and competing risks.

General Course Objectives
By the end of the course the learners will be able to:

  • Identify Mortality and Morbidity and sources of information
  • Apply the different Epidemiological/Observational studies, Diagnostic tests appropriately.
  • Appreciate Survival analysis and associated risks.
