Course Unit Description
This course provides an introduction to the concept and practice of small business protection. The course intends to provide picture on issues pertaining risk involved in taking on small scale businesses in the third world, mitigating risk. The emphasis is on comparing the diversity of approaches found within the world of the entrepreneur.
Course Objectives
The course is intended to equip students with the ability to:
- Appreciate and take measures to avoid risks in small scale businesses;
- Internalize the key concepts of risk and insurance;
- Build on the appreciation of contemporary entrepreneurial issues in the global economy concerning risk sharing and insuring against risk
