Course Unit Description

The course is designed to introduce student to various strategies of mobilizing resources in the real competitive world of business. The purpose is to equip them with what it takes to tap more resources wherever any kind of business is operated. It could be the use of resources, space management, materials, and assets among others. This course covers any number of business-oriented aspects that will make the students holistic in as far as small-scale business management is concerned. 

 

Course Objectives
The course is intended to impart skills in students to:

  • Develop critical analysis of the business/ social construct of knowledge that is important in as far as resource mobilization is concerned; 
  • Develop entrepreneurial skills necessary in designing and implementing small scale businesses more strategically as a matter of tapping more resources; and 
  • Appreciate the dynamics of small-scale business diversification. 

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the scientific methods of resource mobilization in the business context
  • Describe and utilise the different types of business strategies and their applications; 
  • illustrate and utilise business space or premise however small it may to tap income; 
  • Plan and conduct and put in practice business research projects by making decisions that boost resource mobilization
