Course Unit Description
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with the appreciation of basic concepts of political science in relation to society.
Objectives of Course
- The learners will be expected to have acquired skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for the management of public and private entities and appreciate, understood and internalize the principles that underlie the practice of management.
- The students should gain a better appreciation of the nature of political conflicts and the role that the government plays in human society. The student therefore should be able to make contributions to society as responsible citizen and to help him or her gather information and analysis, organize and evaluate it critically.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the learner should be able to;
- Appreciate basic management functions, diagnose management problems, and find solutions.
- Link concepts of management to management practice
- Identify the challenges of management in a dynamic environment
