Course Unit Description

The course introduces students to methods of teaching basic movement education, skills in Netball, demarcating the court, officiating and how to conduct research or projects in netball performance.

Course Objectives
By the end of this unit, students should be able to:

  • Demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge in Basic movement education.
  • Select relevant and appropriate basic movement stunts to be taught in secondary schools.
  • Perform basic skills used in netball
  • Organize and officiate a game of netball
  • Develop simple equipment used in the teaching of netball.
  • Have the competence of playing, teaching, organizing and officiating netball at secondary level.

Expected outcomes
By the end of this unit, students are expected to:
