Course Unit Description


This course is about the key security systems and architectures used in wireless and mobile personal, local, broadband and wide area networks. It provides an overview of current and upcoming architectures, protocols and standards associated with such wireless and mobile communication technologies.

Course Objectives
This course will enable students to:

  • Understand modern mobile and wireless technologies in order to successfully manage the choice of appropriate mobile and wireless technology
  • Analyze programming problems and design solutions for a mobile environment using an object-oriented approach.
  • Apply appropriate mobile and wireless technology in order to meet end-user requirements in application system integration.
