Course Unit Description
The aim of the Module is to bring together knowledge that has been acquired through different functional areas of business: namely: Finance, Marketing, Operations and Human Resources Management and Uses of techniques, that are imparted through the decision making and analytical courses to enable the students to have an overall overview of the organization and where its going.
Specifically, the Module aims at;
- Introducing participants to concepts of strategic management and its applications in the organization development growth and eventual survival
- Developing analysis skills, and problem solving skills
- Equipping students with skills in respect to today’s policy formulation requirements and corporate development
A lot of examples, cases and discussions will be drawn from contemporary situations and participants will be required to fully participate through sharing of experiences accruing from their work place.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the Module, participants will be able to;
- Use planning systems, resources and organizational structures to implement strategies necessary for organizational survival
- Improve their methods and techniques of formulating, implementing and evaluation of organizational policies
- Improve leadership and management policy and skill essential to improve the productivity of organizations
- Strengthen their capacities in initiating new strategies for improved organization performance
- Improve their ability in problem identification, analysis and solving
