MID8115 Environmental Engineering & Management

This course shall consist of the following course modules: Environmental pollution, pollution control, solid waste management, water and wastewater treatment, and Social and Environmental impact assessments.

Course objectives

• To equip students with knowledge of sustainable agricultural waste disposal and agricultural solid waste management skills.
• To equip students with skills for wastewater management and assessment of environmental impacts.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the students are able to:

• Appreciate the environmental challenges, their main causes and mitigation approaches.
• Address assorted issues related to negative environmental effects
