MED5202: Advanced Obstetrics and Gynecology

This is a senior clerkship course in Obstetrics and gynecology.  Students will spend most of the time on the ward managing patients under supervision. Emphasis will be put on good patient management plans for common obstetric and gynecological conditions, selection of suitable investigations and appropriate drug therapies. Mastering surgical techniques will be required.  
 
Course objectives 
By the end of course students should be able to; 

• Demonstrate skills in managing important obstetric conditions 
• Describe procedures and pre-and post- operative patient management 
• Demonstrate skills in carrying out obstetric and gynecological operations.
