MED5102: Advanced clinical Surgery

This is a senior clerkship course in surgery. Students will spend most of the time on the ward and in theatre managing patients under supervision. Emphasis will be put on mastering surgical procedures and monitoring outcomes. 
  
Course objectives 
By the end of the course students should be able to; 

• Demonstrate skills in managing important surgical conditions 
• Describe theatre procedures and pre-and post-operative patient management 
• Demonstrate skills in carrying out surgical operations.
