Course Unit Description
This course covers the epidemiology and pathology of common disorders of the gastrointestinal system and nutrition. It also handles the pharmacology of drugs used in treating these conditions. Techniques of investigating gastrointestinal tract are also covered.
Course objectives
By the end of the course students should be able to;
- Describe the pathology and Epidemiology of Digestive, Nutritional and Metabolic disorders.
- Describe the clinical pharmacology of the drugs used in digestive, nutritional and metabolic disorders.
- Describe the diagnostic procedures in digestive, nutritional and metabolic disorders.
