Course Unit Description

This course is about the exploration of information security management issues, networks technologies and security including authentication, virus attacks and prevention, firewalls and VPN, intrusion detection, managing risks and other security devices and topologies.

Course Objectives
The course aims at enabling students to:

  • Understand the concepts and theory underlying IS and networks security.
  • Analyze current methodologies for IS security design and implementation.
  • Apply current IS security tools and techniques
  • Analyze the impact of IS security on organizations and society.
