GEO3105 Applied Geomorphology
Course Unit Title
GEO3105 Applied Geomorphology
Course Unit Description
The course is divided into four major components: Application of geomorphology in land use planning and environmental management, weathering and geographic significance, geomorphologic modeling and the role of tectonic and volcanic activities in landform formation.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course students should be able to:
- Relate land use planning to landforms in an area
- Acquire skills related to quantification in geomorphology using drainage basin
- Examine the role of models in understanding geomorphologic process
- Assess the role of tectonic and volcanic activities in land form formation.
