Course Unit Description
The course covers the origin and evolution of towns and cities, the approaches to the study of Urban Geography, the theories of central places; the role of urbanization in socio-economic development and population and distribution. It also examines problems of urbanization, approaches to urban planning; the relationship between urban centers and rural areas; rural to urban migration and their implication on urban centers and rural areas.
