Course Unit Description

The course focuses on the basic principles of climatology and the resultant effect on the environment. The essence of atmosphere, composition, mechanisms and the resultant weather elements; measured, recoded and analyzed. Climate classification, approaches to climate classification and effects, rotation and revolution of the earth around the sun; their effect on climate and human activities are much emphasized. Solar radiation and terrestrial radiation with resultant effects are essential in life sustenance. Global circulation, air masses, air pollution and apparent climate changes are given special attention.
