Course Unit Description

Examination of the patterns of economic activities. Emphasis on factors influencing economic development in the world, survey of major industrial regions of the world. A study of the relationship between the developed and underdeveloped economies-international trade, the role of IMF, World Bank and WTO in the economies of the third world. 

Objectives
By the end of this course, the students should be able to:

  • Identify the major human activities in the world
  • Discuss the interrelationship between the global human activities
  • Described the global functioning of the world economies
