Course Unit Description

This course Provide a theoretical and practical appreciation of legal issues surrounding entrepreneurs’ regulations, law, obligations, and ability to apply some of its major legalities to practical business problems of entrepreneurs. It includes a variety of issues regarding the legalities involved in institutionalization of a business entity, small and or large and what it takes to make it kick start.

 

Course Objectives 
The course is intended to equip students with the ability to:

  • Conceptualize general aspects of entrepreneurial legal considerations; 
  • Internalize entrepreneurial legal dynamics;
  • Build on the body of knowledge  of contemporary entrepreneurial regulations, laws and or rules defining small scale businesses
  • Develop ability to appreciate the effective way small businesses can be constituted in the competitive business world.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • Describe similarities and differences between various entrepreneurial legalities in the business environment; 
  • Appreciate the significance of entrepreneurial legal dynamics and how they affect small scale business start ups
  • Evaluate key legal framework governing and regulating existing and Recognize the basics of current entrepreneurial laws that influence Small and Medium Enterprise Sector (SMES) in today’s third world environment
