Course Unit Description
This course covers the evolution, nature and current structure of the Ugandan economy and the internal and external framework that facilitate it. It also tackles issues of regional cooperation, globalization and liberation.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, students should be able to appreciate:
- The evolution, nature and current structure of the Ugandan Economy
- The sources and nature of performance of the Ugandan Economy, policy frameworks, institutions constraints of the country's development process
- The role of regional integration, globalization and market liberalization to economic development
- Impact of national, regional and international economic policies on the operations initiatives.
