The course will be highlight background history of Patterns and developments in Uganda Education from pre-colonial times to the present day; African indigenous Education; Introduction and Development of Western Education (1877 – 1925); The Church and the State in Education (1925 – 1962); Agricultural and Technical Educational Establishment of Private Schools; Education Development (1940 – 1962); Colonial Education (1940 – 1962); The Development of Education (1962 – 1990). It discusses Education Ordinances, Education Commissions, Education Reports, as well as Education Acts of 1972 and 1979.
