Course Unit Description
This course introduces the student to computers, computer software, mouse, keyboard, operating systems, commands, short cuts, folders, creating files, word processing, MS Excel among others The course also covers aspects of computers, operating systems, hard and software, folders, creating files, short cuts, word processing and use of computer applications to do agricultural production and marketing.
Objectives
- To explain the different computer applications.
- To identify the different computer systems and their functions.
- To describe how to use computer application in agricultural production
- To enable the student produce and market agricultural products using computer applications.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the students should be able to:
- Identify, define and describe the computer parts and processing cycle, software and operating systems.
- Control the mouse, keyboard, using commands and short cuts
- Create documents in various computer soft ware like micro soft word, excel, power point; among others
- Use different computer applications to enable agricultural production and marketing
