DCP1105 Farm Structures and Workshop Skills

This course explains the different farm structures and the key workshop skills needed on a modern farm.

Course objectives

• To explain the different forms of structures and buildings on the farm.
• To demonstrate farm structure construction and management
• To explain the different skills needed on a farm workshop to perform a variety of activities.

Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student should be able to:

• Observe and respect safety rules in the workshop, carry out first aid and fight fires in the workshopExplain the different structures that can be put on the farm to increase production
• Operate and maintain the different farm structures, workshop, tools and equipment.
• Design and construct farm structures and buildings on the farm.
