DBB1201 Photosynthesis and Respiration
Course Unit Title
DBB1201 Photosynthesis and Respiration
Course Unit Description
This course is designed to provide learners with a comprehension of how organisms acquire their energy directly or indirectly from sunlight in the process of photosynthesis; and how organisms are able to release the energy stored in the molecules produced by plants and use it for cellular processes
Course Objectives
By the end of the course students will be able to:
- Describe light and dark phases in photosynthesis
- Describe how the manufactured food by plants is utilized by other organisms to releases energy
- Outline factors affecting photosynthesis and respiration
- Design experiments on photosynthesis and respiration
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Learners will have a clear understanding of the life processes of photosynthesis and respiration
- Learners will be able to utilize the environment to teach photosynthesis and respiration
