DAP2206 Research Project
Course Unit Description
Final year students will undertake a special research project in fields of their choice. The project will begin in Semester one semester one with proposal writing and presentation during DAP 1208 and will also be examined in Semester two of the same year during this course. This course will expose the student to research fundamentals by giving them first-hand exposure to data gathering and analysis.
Course Objectives
- To expose the learners to the principles of project design and implementation
- To equip students with analytical ability and data reporting
- Identify researchable topic
- Implement the approved project proposals
- Conduct the research and produce an acceptable scientific report
- Organize and disseminate research findings in seminars
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:
- collect and record research data as approved in proposal
- clean, analyze and present research data
- explain research findings in relation to study objectives, and make recommendations on solving research problem
- write a research report
- present research findings
