DAP2203 Small Ruminants and rabbit Production

This course introduces the student to small ruminant production and marketing and its potential for economic empowerment. It also covers important aspects of rabbit production and marketing

Course Objectives

• The student should be able to; carry out the various husbandry practices of small ruminants and rabbits, add value to the various products of small ruminants and rabbits, market the various products of small ruminants and rabbits.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners should be able to;

• Explaining the importance of production of rabbits and small ruminants; 
• Identify the different breeds, of rabbits and small ruminants.
• Choosing appropriate small ruminant production system 
• Identifying the different rabbit feeds as well as small ruminants.
