DAP1108 Pasture Production and Management

This course introduces the student to important aspects of pasture management as well as pasture establishment and rangeland improvement in regard to animal nutrition. 

Course Objectives

• To equip students with knowledge of pastures management and its relevance in animal nutrition.
• To equip students with techniques of pasture establishment and improvement as a way of improving animal production.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:

• Identify, establish and manage pastures
• Produce preserved pastures
• Advice farmers on the most appropriate technologies and use of pastures to boost productivity of animals
