Course Unit Description
To give students the knowledge, and hands on skills, on how to design websites in both the logical and practical sense
Course objectives
This course unit is meant to:
- Give the students knowledge of the history of the World Wide Web (how it came about).
- Enable students develop web pages using HTML
- Enable students design web pages using frames, tables and forms
- Enable students use CSS for formatting of their web pages.
- Help students be able to use JavaScript validate web pages and add interactivity to web pages
- Use PHP to help students be able to design dynamic websites with databases (MYSQL/ORACLE)
- Students get good knowledge on how to create databases, and embed them in web based pages
- Give students good knowledge on how audio and video streaming can be achieved over the internet.
Expected Learning Outcome
- On successful completion of this course unit, the students should be able to introduce students to techniques of web implementation with web programming language
