Course Unit Description

The course is designed to provide students with the understanding of finance issues in big corporations. The course will cover Corporate stakeholders and objectives further aspects of investment analysis with specific focus on issues such as sensitivity analysis, inflation rates, written down allowances and capital rationing. The course will also cover methods used to determine the cost of capital, firm valuations, dividend policies and mergers, takeovers and acquisitions. 

Learning Outcomes       
On completion of this course, students should be able to

  • Use investment evaluations techniques to appraise investment projects
  • Understand and describe operations of capital markets in funds moblization
  • Carry out business valuations for investment in shares and bonds
