CGA1101 Agriculture and Climatology

This course covers areas of; Introduction to climatology and meteorology, technical concepts to climatology and meteorology, The land tenure and farming systems in Uganda, The basics of crop management.

Course objective    

• To instill in a student the general concepts in agriculture.
• To enable the student to identify different farming systems
• To introduce student to basic concepts climatology
• To explain the effect of climate change on agriculture

Learning outcomes    
Students should be able;

• To explain the basics of crop management
• To identify different farming systems
• Interpret climatology data
• To describe the concept of climate change and its adaptation and mitigation measures.
