BPA3105 New Managerialism

This course introduces a student to the emerging approaches in the theory and practice of management that are aimed at rebranding the effective and efficient management of organisations.

Objectives of the Course
This course helps Students to Understand:

• Conceptualisation of New Managerialism; understanding issues in globalisation)
• Productivity and quality improvement in organisation (productivity improvement factors)
• Diagnosing productivity & quality problems under New Managerialism; Productivity analysis, measurement and evaluation under New Managerialism; New Business Concepts: Just-in-time techniques, total quality management

• Organisational productivity and improvement techniques
• waste management and quality improvement; as well as challenges to new managerialism.
